GIVNG BACK: Aksarben Mortgage enjoys day on links for kwELITE Golf Scramble

Always looking to give back, the Aksarben Mortgage team took to the links this week at Shadow Ridge Country Club in Omaha for the second annual kwELITE Golf Scramble.

The event ended up raising $2,500 for Omaha Home for Boys, whose mission is to support and strengthen youth, young adults and families through services that inspire and equip them to lead independent and productive lives.

“It was an awesome event,” Aksarben Mortgage Co-Owner/Advisor Nick Zwiebel said. “We had a great time supporting Omaha Home for Boys.”

In addition to playing in the tournament, Aksarben Mortgage’s Leslie Larson, Mireya Rodriguez and Sally Bernard ran the company's sponsored hole, where golfers had to undergo a special activity to advance.

“Nothing better than starting my Monday giving back to the community,” Bernard shared.

After the tournament, everyone celebrated at LOCAL Beer, Patio and Kitchen at nearby Village Pointe, where numerous prizes were awarded and participants enjoyed one another’s company, food and drinks.

Kelsey Ridder, of Omaha Home for Boys, said she was appreciative of all the support, and kwELITE Co-Founder Jeff Cohn praised all the event sponsors, including Aksarben Mortgage, for helping make the day a huge success.

For Zwiebel, participating in the tournament was about far more than golf — giving back to the community is just indicative of what Aksarben Mortgage is all about.
